SHA’s Campus Ministry Up-Coming Service Opportunities
1. Apostles Immigrant Services:
Every Monday and/or
Thursday- tutoring bi-lingual students at St. Francis/St.
Rose School @ 423 Ferry St. New haven, CT 06513- 2:45 to
3:45- See application Campus Ministry Office.
We will be
setting up carpooling.
2. Clelian Adult Day Care Center:
Any day after school from 2:30 to 3:30. Must call Jeanne at
288-4151 at least the day before and let her know you're
coming.
Sign
up list for 1st & 3rd Thursdays of each month going with a
SHA group will be outside the Campus Ministry Office
3. Sacred Heart Manor (Elderly ASCJ
Sisters):
1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month leaving the Campus
Ministry Office at 2:20 finishing at 3:30.
Sign up list will be outside the Campus Ministry Office.
4. Life Haven Shelter for Women & Children
(The old St. Francis Convent on Ferry St).-
Fri. Oct. 23rd, Fri. Nov. 6th & Fri. Dec. 4th -cooking
after school; serving dinner there @ 6. Sign up list will be
outside the CM Office. Parents to drive are needed.
5. Halloween Party at Dunbar Elm. School:
Helping with
their Halloween Party Friday, October 30th from 5 to 8:30.
Sign up list
will be outside the CM Office.
6. Midnight Run-
making lunches after school and bringing
them down to the NH Green and to two shelters in the evening
on Wednesdays- November through March. Parents to drive are
needed.
7. St. Colletta’s Religious Ed. Center for Special Needs
Children
(located on the grounds of Blessed Sacrament Church
behind the old convent)- Every Tues. &/or Thurs. from 3 to
5. Helping special needs children prepare for their
Sacraments. Call Mrs. Donna Dumelin @ 288-4857 & leave a
message.
8. St. Martin DePorres Academy
(a Nativity
school located in the old Sacred Heart School building at
208 Columbus Ave. NH., CT. 06519)
Tutoring from
2:50-3:50 & help with activities 3:50 -5:10 daily (except on
Fridays). Call Mr. Jay Bowes at 772-2424 to set up your
schedule. SHA
& ND will be doing a Day of Caring
(fixing,
painting & cleaning)
at St. Martin’s
Saturday, March 13, 2010.
9. Hamden Special Olympics Bowling-
Volunteers needed
(bowlers & non-bowlers) to assist the athletes. Saturdays
12:15 to 2:30 through November 22nd, @ AMF Circle Lanes in
