to Computer
Applications

Eligibility: All incoming
students
This one-semester
course provides a thorough introduction to computer applications. The
course begins with an introduction to computer hardware and software,
including related concepts and terminology. The balance of the course
will allow students to develop proficiencies in five primary types of
business software applications: word processing, spreadsheet,
presentation graphics, Web site creation and management, and graphics
editing. In addition, students will gain exposure to Internet
communications and research.
