This full-year course
helps students understand the main principles of object-oriented
software design and programming. Working in the Java programming
language, students learn to code fluently and work with algorithms in
preparation for the A-Level AP exam in computer science. The course
includes several individual programming projects assigned for one or two
weeks each. The time after the AP CS Exam is devoted to a team project
and enrichment activities.
